Enthralling multi colour set

When you try something out of single shade strips it always ends up enthralling. And that set I gifted it for the winner of the contest in my Face Book page. The set became even more elegant after it is studded with multi colour green stone.

Angry bird set made by my daughter

Whenever she gets into her mood to create something (that mood comes when she had to gift something for her friends) she is on her mark and is set into action. The she is my daughter. I have to proudly say that she has the capacity to recreate whatever she sees without seeing any tutorial. And this is what she created for her friend. An angry bird set. When I asked her why this in particular, her reply was that her friend is like this red bird when she is angry.

The set might seem simple. But the way she painted the eyes I was impressed as she never does a good level of painting.

Red Roses the show stealer

when I announced a contest in my facebook page, there was one clear winner and that person asked me to make a red rose set for her dear daughter. And when I varnished those roses they became so shiny and that made that little girl love it so much.

After seeing my fridge magnet collections and my Ganesha collections one of our relative asked me to make two Ganesha fridge magnets. And the colour specification was red and gold and it definitely turned out amazing.

Rose danglers.

One of my friend turned customer wanted to gift something for her customers. She ordered 50 pairs of quilled rose hangings. As ever making roses was a fun and making danglers out of them was even more. Tried different arrangements. All the danglers had 7 roses.

Quilled Rakhis

Time to celebrate and cherish the bond of brothers and sisters and my daughter decided to make rakhis for her brothers by herself. She loved doing it and her brothers loved it. Anything done with love even though it is small and simple is definitely cherished by the receiver.

Quilled chocolate hangings

Who don't love chocolates and that too kids love it so much. A few of the quilled creations can be converted as and how we want them to be. They could be made as a hanging, a magnet, a key chain, pencil topper or just a mobile dangler. These are versatile designs and one such design is quilled chocolate.

Quilled parrot hangings

Kids get happy when they see the birds and animals. One of the favourite is parrot. So when my friend asked me to make a pair of parrot ear rings for her grand neice, I just tried to replicate it as much as possible.

Mice pencil topper for kids

Kids love small embellishments to be attached to their pencil back or pens. These make a wonderful return gifts too. The first one that I tried was mice toppers. they were so cute and my son grabbed them immediately one for him and and for two of his friends.

Trial of curtain holder

When there is flexibility for creativity, you can do anything in quilling is what I learnt after doing it for almost an year. A simple but useful piece of work in quilling is the curtain holder. But it also looks grand and elegant when it is matched aptly with the curtains.

Made two for my parent's home one with a flower and the other with a butterfly. To make the ring I used the biggest available size bangle and 10mm strips was wrapped around the bangle to make the curtain ring.

Quilled envelopes

Though I have not done a lot of quilled envelopes I did try a few designs and have gifted them too. The ones that I was able to capture a picture are the ones below. I am waiting to try my hands on ornate quilling on envelopes. Hope I get a chance to do soon.

Beaded sets in blue and white pearl

When my niece saw the beaded set with golden beads  she wanted me to make one for the silk paavadai she will be wearing the next day for the function. And she was very particular that it should accompany with a matching dangler too.

And when a cutie pie asks for such a wonderful piece, how can I say NO. And here is what I made for her.
