ocean theme paper weight
An artist should be creative- whats there in poring it in just moulds and making pieces, - even those who know that any art work is an art, comment it quite eaily. When I made the mermaid tail or fish tail however you call it, I didnot want to make it a pendant or keychain, I wanted to use it in something else.
So decided to create a table decor which will also double as a paper weight.
I carefully chose my layers, added a thin layer of sand mixed with resin, it was spread a bit uneven. Then afded a layer of stones and flat shells and poured blue alchohol ink. Added a drop of denim colour too to it. Let it settle and when it got dry added a few conch shells and clear resin. Just on it added a few drops of white ink and blew it using hot gun. This def gave sn effect and I realized it only after demolding the piece. Let this layer settle a bit
Once it was dry added some white stones and plunged the mermaid tail in. It was a bit hard to keep it inside the tesin but made sure it stood in.
Once dry and demolded wow was the only word I could say. Ofcourse inspite of heating few airbubbles had formed. But see is full of bubbles.
One of the few things that never stopped me from watching again and is the sea.

Crochet lunch bag - blue
T shirt yarns, are great to use. When I got these uarns from Pony Craft Store, Conoor I was fascinated by their texture. For long I could not really understand what I could really do with these type of yarns. Then google gave me ideas and I made a oval bottom lunch bag for my daughter. Used 6mm hook as I was thinking the lowest number mentioned in the yarn ball will suit it well.
Got numb fingers and shoulder pain, but the fascination of seeing the end result gave me enthu to finish it fast.

Trinket box - Resin
The kit that I hv had some glittery powder and a soft brush. I was quite intrigued by these two. Wanted to try something and the mould which I saw first was a trinket bowl mould and it had a lid too.

Mobile stand - Resin
When I thought of giving a send off gift for my brother, the 1st thing that vame to my mind is the mobile stand. And I could not think of anything else as his work involves more usage of mobile too along with laptop.
The silicon mould for the same gave the flexibility to add anything in it and in went two leaves flowers and some glitters and shakers. It turned out exotic than I expected.

Crochet chain bunch
Though I know basic crochet and when I saw the set made by another crafter I was amazed as to how the beads are added to it. When I asked the procedure I could not get it clearly but when I searched the youtube and google, got a clarity. Though there are videos to make this set in youtube, here is a tutorial which could be useful to many.
Decide upon the number of strands that you want to make, then decide upon the number of stitches you want to add between every bead. This will help to add the total number of beads to the string. The whole set is made using just a single chain stitch.
Without cutting the string, add the beads to the string (if needed use needle to add the beads). At the back of the neck and at the place of the pendant, there should just be chains.
Start with making 12 chains, pull a bead through the needle, and make a chain around it. Make 6 chains and add another bead. Repeat to add 6 beads then add 12 chains repeat the chains and beads (add another set of 6 beads). Make chain 12 and keep repeating till all the beads are added up. Attach the last chain with the first chain (the beginning chain). Fold the chain and attach the 12 chains with a rope and if you are adding a pendant, use a chain or pendant attacher.

Silk thread leaf set
I definitely have come a long way in silk thread jewellery making. Tips from various co-crafters in terms of proper beading have helped me a lot. And thus I ended up making a lovely set for a neighbour to match her saree.
This leaf charm and pendant is sonething really attractive and go well with any colour. So here it is the purple and pink set.

Ganesha fridge magenet for an order.
When one of my quilling friends asked me whether I could take up the order which she have got for Ganesha Quilling magnets, as she is having other orders to be completed, I agreed to do it and the client ordered 60 Ganeshas and as they had a forest theme she wanted the Ganeshas to be in Green. And thanks to my kids who helped me in completing them and packing them in green gift wrapper too.

Contest entry for Indian Quilling Guild
Indian Quilling Guild conducts contests regularly. Though I want to participate, I feel that I am still not equipped to participate and I am not up to their standard. But I did try participating once when the theme was quilled heart and here it is heart o hearts that I made for that contest. The entire thing is made of Vellum Strips that I had purchased from Itsy Bitsy.
Wind Chime in quilling cone shaped
When there was a competition in one of the quilling groups in FB, I tried out my hands on traditional cone shaped wind chime in quilling. Though it did not win a prize, I got a few orders to make the same pattern to be gifted. The colours I used were vibrant orange, yellow and brown. The five layered cones made a perfect dangler with sounds.

Perler Beads craft work from Swarnaa Creations
When I first saw a few Perler Bead work in Facebook, I thought it to be mosaic work in Quilling coils. But later came to know about these beads and on enquiry found that one lady is supplying it. Got it from her and we all were excited in making it. With the limited boards available we managed to make a few designs and the first design the kids made was a heart for their dad to be gifted on his birthday.

Angry bird set made by my daughter
Whenever she gets into her mood to create something (that mood comes when she had to gift something for her friends) she is on her mark and is set into action. The she is my daughter. I have to proudly say that she has the capacity to recreate whatever she sees without seeing any tutorial. And this is what she created for her friend. An angry bird set. When I asked her why this in particular, her reply was that her friend is like this red bird when she is angry.
The set might seem simple. But the way she painted the eyes I was impressed as she never does a good level of painting.
