Trinket box - Resin

The kit that I hv had some glittery powder and a soft brush. I was quite intrigued by these two. Wanted to try something and the mould which I saw first was a trinket bowl mould and it had a lid too.

These bowl or box moulds are quite interesting they are double walled and you get the freedom to add inbetween the two walls or paint on the outer walls. This bowl mould seemed  to me like a gem and I decided to give a peacock coloured look. Used the blue, green and gold to get that wonderful look.

Mobile stand - Resin

When I thought of giving a send off gift for my brother, the 1st thing that vame to my mind is the mobile stand. And I could not think of anything else as his work involves more usage of mobile too along with laptop.

The silicon mould for the same gave the flexibility to add anything in it and in went two leaves flowers and some glitters and shakers. It turned out exotic than I expected.

Crochet chain bunch

Though I know basic crochet and when I saw the set made by another crafter I was amazed as to how the beads are added to it. When I asked the procedure I could not get it clearly but when I searched the youtube and google, got a clarity. Though there are videos to make this set in youtube, here is a tutorial which could be useful to many.

Decide upon the number of strands that you want to make, then decide upon the number of stitches you want to add between every bead. This will help to add the total number of beads to the string. The whole set is made using just a single chain stitch.

Without cutting the string, add the beads to the string (if needed use needle to add the beads). At the back of the neck and at the place of the pendant, there should just be chains.

Start with making 12 chains, pull a bead through the needle, and make a chain around it. Make 6 chains and add another bead. Repeat to add 6 beads then add 12 chains repeat the chains and beads (add another set of 6 beads). Make chain 12 and keep repeating till all the beads are added up. Attach the last chain with the first chain (the beginning chain). Fold the chain and attach the 12 chains with a rope and if you are adding a pendant, use a chain or pendant attacher.

Silk thread leaf set

I definitely have come a long way in silk thread jewellery making. Tips from various co-crafters in terms of proper beading have helped me a lot. And thus I ended up making a lovely set for a neighbour to match her saree.

This leaf charm and pendant is sonething really attractive and go well with any colour. So here it is the purple and pink set.

Double coloured garland

After learning the boondongling technique, which calls for no quilling tools, I tried making garlands. The first garland I tried was single colour but after I gained confidence I made a double coloured garland which I used to decorate the Ganesha during Navarathri.
